American Guild of Organists’ Policy Against Harassment
AGO Sexual Harassment Review Board Discontinued. AGO National Council voted on April 24, 2024 to discontinue the Sexual Harassment Review Board on the advice of legal counsel. The National Council recommends that members contact law enforcement and/or legal counsel in instances of sexual harassment.
GRIEVANCE PROCEDURES DISCONTINUED. As part of the restructuring of the American Guild of Organists in 2012, the discontinuation of the use of the Grievance Procedures in cases of alleged wrongful termination was approved by the National Council and, as of July 1, 2013, they are no longer available for AGO members. However, the Code of Ethics, Code of Professional Standards, Discipline, Alternate Dispute Resolution, Mentor Program, Employment Review, and other Professional Development options are still available to support AGO members.
