Message from the Dean

WELCOME TO OUR GRAND STRAND AGO CHAPTER

We are glad to welcome you to an overview of our local chapter of the American Guild of Organists. Our chapter is young and growing, and we are proud of our accomplishments. During the summer of 2019 we hosted the Southeast AGO Convention here in the Myrtle Beach area. It was a wonderful event with unparalleled recitals and workshops. Now we move on . . . . with programs and events that will inspire us and enable us to continue to grow as lovers of the “King of Instruments.”

WHO ARE WE?

Some of us are organists. Some of us are organ buffs.

Some of us are concert organists. Some of us are beginners.

Some of us play the organ full-time. Some of us play the organ part-time.

Some of us have advanced degrees in organ. Some of us are largely self-taught.

Some of us play pipe organs. Some of us play electronic organs.

Whether you find yourself in one of these categories, or whether you are a choral director, just a lover of great music, or a retired musician, we welcome you! As part of the family of AGO, we are people who are passionate about music. We hope that you will enjoy our web site, and we invite you to contact us if you are interested in the Grand Strand Chapter or with any questions that you may have.
