Sequoia Chapter

[January 14, 2020]

Message from the Dean

Welcome to our webpage! Our community (Eureka, Arcata, McKinleyville, Fortuna, Trinidad, and surrounding area) is on the beautiful North Coast of California, surrounded by redwood forest. Pipe organs in the area range from a one-manual Bosch tracker at Humboldt State University (Arcata) to a new Charles Kegg III/30 at Christ Episcopal Church (Eureka).

Our small chapter offers organ scholarships which pay for one half of the cost of 12 private lessons. Contact the Dean of the Chapter for application forms. Lessons are available for beginners to advanced levels, and some piano experience is preferred.

We welcome all communication from other organists, choir directors, and other musicians and always welcome new members. You may join the Chapter at either the national level or as a Chapter Friend. Contact our Secretary/Treasurer for membership information.

I find value in my AGO membership because of the educational resources available and the opportunities to participate in community service. The AGO challenges me to learn more, expand my network, and get involved!
