Kern County Chapter

[lastupdated]

Message from the Dean

Welcome to the website of the Kern County Chapter of AGO! We are a diverse group of members who have a passion for organs and organ music, including those who are organists and those who are organ devotees. Our area includes a wide variety of organs, from historic pipe to modern digital. This September, Kern County Chapter will mark its 70th year of bringing to our area stimulating concerts and educational programs celebrating the organ and its music. We invite you to become a member of our local AGO community, whether you are an organist, from beginner to professional, or an organ enthusiast.

Our Chapter is dedicated to supporting young musicians interested in learning to play the organ, as well as those already pursuing organ studies. We encourage these students through concerts and scholarships, as well as instructor contacts. Please contact us if you know of any students we could support and encourage.

Check our calendar below and join us for excellent programs and activities to educate, inspire, and enhance your enjoyment and knowledge of the organ and its music.

I find value in my AGO membership because of the educational resources available and the opportunities to participate in community service. The AGO challenges me to learn more, expand my network, and get involved!
