Committee on Pipe Organ Encounters

The purpose of the Committee on Pipe Organ Encounters is to introduce non-organists to the organ, and to further motivate and develop new organists. The committee is charged with the development and administration of all forms of Pipe Organ Encounters:  POE, POE-Advanced, POE-Technical, and POE-Plus. It coordinates with the Committee on the New Organist (CONO), the Committee on Continuing Professional Education (CCPE) and other AGO entities as needed in the successful planning and execution of these events.

The AGO is dedicated to ensuring another generation of musicians and enthusiasts of organ and choral music. The Guild has programs, both on the local and national levels, that span every age group and level of proficiency.

On any given week, AGO chapters sponsor myriad activities of interest to potential or new organists. To find out about scholarships, educational programs, organ crawls, in-school or in-church presentations, field trips to organbuilders and special installations, day or weekend seminars, recitals or other local activities, contact the AGO Chapter Dean nearest to you.
