AGO Past Present and Future Member Profile

seal-and-ago

November 5, 2014

Dear Colleague,

On behalf of the entire AGO staff, the National Council, and the Marketing Committee, I want to thank each one of the 5,692 persons who responded to our recent survey. Respondents included 4,788 current AGO members from 278 chapters. This terrific level of participation represents an 80% increase over the number of respondents to the AGO’s 2009 Long Range Planning Survey.

While it will take the Marketing Committee and our consultant several weeks to analyze the survey data and develop a report, I want to take this opportunity to tell you how much we appreciate your participation. Your willingness to take the time to complete the survey demonstrates the vitality and passion of our membership and buoys all of us in positions of Guild leadership. For example, more than half of the members in 61 different chapters took part in the survey, with an overall chapter participation average close to 40%.

In addition to providing direct survey responses, more than two-dozen members have written to me or to national headquarters to elaborate on issues raised in the survey. We are grateful to all of you for investing your time in the survey process. You may be interested to know that our Marketing Committee plans to follow up the survey with a series of Focus Groups designed to explore issues raised in the survey in more depth.

With gratitude and best wishes,
