Message from the Dean

Happy new year to you all! I hope your winter holidays were rich and fulfilling and that you’re recovering before entering busy Lent and Easter seasons.

Three nice events remain in this program year, and you will find details below. Please add the dates to your calendar. We wish we regularly saw more of our members. Deep thanks to this year’s planners Dennis Dell, Michael Diorio, Kerry Heimann, Mike Kevane, Mike McCormick, and Steven Russell, Sub-Dean and chair of the committee. If you have ideas for upcoming seasons, please contact Steven — or join the committee!

Because we would like to see more active membership in the chapter, I will ask directly: what would be valuable to you? How can we make the chapter more useful to you? I would love to hear from you. This spring we will elect Chapter Officers. A Nominating Committee has formed, chaired by Steven Russell, Sub-Dean. Please thoughtfully consider offering service to the Chapter and participating in its direction. If you would be willing to serve in some capacity, contact Steven Russell, email below in Contact Us.

The Chapter is healthy and well and served by a dedicated Board. We hope to provide a useful and social and rich forum for you. Please participate and spread the word!

Members’ Recital and Hymn Festival
Pennington United Methodist Church

Pennington, NJ 08534

Pennington UMC hosts our recital in celebration of its 250th Anniversary. This hymn festival will center on the 1989 UNITED METHODIST HYMNAL to feature organ settings of hymns, organ literature by hymnal composers, and congregational hymns. The church has a 3 manual digital Allen Renaissance organ and a Yamaha C7 Conservatory grand piano in excellent condition. Reception follows.

Membership

If you are an organist new to the central New Jersey area and are interested in becoming a member of the chapter, please click on the following link to be redirected to the membership area of the National AGO website: AGO Membership Info

If you are not an organist, but would like to be affiliated only with our chapter, please join as a Chapter Friend. Chapter Friends support the local chapter, receive our chapter newsletters, and participate in chapter events. As a Chapter Friend, you do not have national voting privileges, membership benefits, or a TAO subscription. Please email Joe Coulter and he will be glad to forward you membership information.
