American Guild of Organists

iMIS Site

Northwest Arkansas Chapter AGO

[lastupdated]

Welcome to Our Site!

We are transitioning from this single-page site to a full-blown independent WordPress site shortly.  We will offer more features, including a members-only section.  One change we regret we had to make is removing the names and email addresses of our board members, as a result of some scamming attempts using that information.  You can still contact us, but it’s a bit less direct.  Please follow the simple formula at the bottom of the Web page.

Our small but active chapter includes members mainly from Benton and Washington counties. We have many fine medium- and small-sized pipe organs, with the three largest being:

  • Rogers:  52-rank Temple at Central United Methodist Church (2007)
  • Fayetteville:  38-rank Temple at First United Presbyterian Church (1926, 1968, 2015)
  • Bella Vista:  30-rank Casavant/Temple at First United Methodist Church (1971, 2008)

In recent years we have enjoyed concerts presented by outstanding guest organists, including Mary Preston, Jan Kraybill, the Chenault Duo, John Obetz, Joel Martinson, Nathan Laube, Gail Archer, Faythe Freese, and Marilyn Keiser.

We are a congenial group, always ready to welcome newcomers.  When you are in our area, please contact us so we can get acquainted!

All the best,

Dean

I find value in my AGO membership because of the educational resources available and the opportunities to participate in community service. The AGO challenges me to learn more, expand my network, and get involved!
